Leicester - Birthplace of the 2012 Olympic Games

Following on from my post about its vital contribution to the 1948 Olympics, it seems Leicester has a key role to play in the 2012 Games too:

Torch relay dress rehearsal begins at National Space Centre

The torch "passed through Quorn, Loughborough, Hoton, Wymeswold, Asfordby and Melton Mowbray where it stopped for lunch."

What do Olympic torches eat for lunch?  A nice, refuelling glass of one-third propane and two-thirds butane, apparently.

The 2012 Olympic torch: coming to a village near you (if you live in Leicestershire)
