I get annoyed by various aspects of the modern media, but one of the things that annoys me most is vapid, fawning interviews of professional footballers. Here, Yakubu Aiyegbeni, Leicester City's on-loan striker, is interviewed by the BBC Midlands 'Late Kick Off' in a grilling so incisive it takes things to a whole new level:

The interview appears to have been conducted by a star-struck teenage girl who has been dating Yakubu for a short while, and is so amazed by her good fortune to be with such a man that to her it feels like they've been together 'forever'.
