The King's Speech

One of the tongue-twisters used by Lionel Logue to help King George VI speak more betterer was "She sifted seven thick-stalked thistles through a strong, thick sieve."  King George often complains about this approach, but never once asks the obvious question.  Why was this unnamed woman sieving thistles?

Also, according to BBC Leicester, Lionel Logue never told the king to swear.
