How to solve under-age drinking in North Yorkshire

The Whitby Gazette is easily my favourite British newspaper. Many local papers are rubbish, with no stories of interest whatsoever, whilst the national papers simply make things up, or at least sensationalize something to the point of bafflement. The Whitby Gazette stands out as an arbiter of journalistic integrity and quality.

Nonetheless, I couldn't help but be amused by a recent front page story. The town apparently has a problem with teenage drinkers, many of them consuming alcohol illegally, so the police have been called in to tackle the problem. And who is the policeman in charge of sorting it out? The wonderfully appositely named Inspector Dave Barf!
